Below is an explanation of the different home styles for strata properties

RANCHER / BUNGALOW
(One Level)

The living area (bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen etc) are all located on one level and there is no lower level. The living area could be on a crawl space or slab.

RANCHER WITH BASEMENT
(Two levels)

The living space is on one floor with either a full or partial in-ground basement. Usually it has an inground walkout basement. The entrance of the home is located on the upper level.

TWO-STOREY (Two Levels)

All bedrooms are upstairs, and only bedrooms are located ustairs, rest of the living area (living room, dining room, den, kitchen etc) is located on the main floor.

TWO-STOREY WITH BASEMENT
(Three Levels)

As in a two-storey home, the living space is on the main floor with bedrooms upstairs, plus there is a 3rd level (basement) that may be either full or partial, in-ground, at ground level, or below ground. The entrance could be located on the lower level or the main floor level.

THREE LEVELS

As in a two-storey with basement home, the living space is on the main floor with bedrooms upstairs, plus there is a 3rd level that has only the entrance hall and is usually at ground level.

UPPER UNIT

Could be either a top floor condo unit or the upper unit  in a "stacker" townhouse complex.

GROUND LEVEL UNIT

Could be either a ground floor condo unit or the lower unit in a "stacker" townhouse complex.
